Story of the Year é uma banda de Alternative Metal/Hardcore norte-americana formada em 1997 em Saint Louis. Aqui no blog eu to colocando só os dois últimos cds dos caras, porque, particularmente, acho o primeiro um lixo. Entretanto, os outros dois, puta que o pariu, PEGADA do começo ao fim do album.

A banda lançou o DVD “Live In The Lou”, que além de um show ao vivo, conta com cenas de bastidores durante a tournée do CD “Page Avenue”, clips, making of do clip “Sidewalks” e clips retirados do Sessions AOL. O DVD também inclui um CD com o audio do show gravado em Saint Louis/Missouri

“And The Hero Will Drown”, uma das suas músicas, faz parte da trilha sonora de Need For Speed Underground.

A banda entrou em estúdio e esta gravando seu 3° cd com previsão de lançamento para 22/04/2008, já existe um single do cd ” The Black Swan ” chamado Wake Up, enquanto isso também está preparando o seu 2° DVD mas sem previsão de lançamento. Em agosto de 2007 em um show que a banda realizou na cidade de Saint Louis/missouri foi divulgado um preview do novo DVD.

Strike Anywhere é uma banda de hardcore melódico de Richmond, Virgínia, formada em 1999. Sua música é caracterizada por andamentos rápidos, cativantes melodias e vocais emocionalmente carregados, prestados através de grito e canto. A banda tem recebido maior atenção após seu trabalho aparecer em 3 jogos da série “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater”: Tony Hawk’s Underground em 2003 (Refusal), Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland em 2005 (Question the Answer), e Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam (The Promise). Eles também foram destaque no documentário “Wake Up Screaming” sobre a Vans Warped Tour 2005. A banda fez seu último show com o guitarrista Matt Sherwood em Auckland, na Nova Zelândia em 17 de março de 2007, com Mark Miller o substituindo.

The Legend of Johnny Cash

J. R. Cash, mais conhecido como Johnny Cash, (Kingsland, 26 de fevereiro de 1932 — Nashville, 12 de setembro de 2003) foi um cantor e compositor americano de música country, conhecido por seus fãs como “O Homem de Preto”. Em uma carreira que durou quase cinco décadas, ele foi para muitas pessoas a personificação do country. Sua voz sepulcral e o distintivo som “boom chicka boom” de sua banda de apoio “Tennessee Two” podem ser reconhecidos instantaneamente por inúmeras pessoas.

Desde seus primórdios como um pioneiro do rockabilly e rock and roll nos anos 50 à sua transformação em um representante internacional da música country e até sua reconquista da fama nos anos 90 tanto como uma lenda viva como ícone do country alternativo, Cash influenciou incontáveis músicos e deixou um trabalho igualado apenas pelos maiores artistas de sua época.

Rise Against – Discografia

Rise Against é uma banda de hardcore melódico formada em Chicago. Influenciados pelos pioneiros do punk old school tais como Bad Religion, Minor Threat e Bad Brains. Após o fim da banda 88 Fingers Louie, os ex-membros Joe Principe e Mr. Precision, resolvem fundar os Rise Against, originalmente chamados Transistor Revolt. Em 2000 lançam sua primeira demo, Transistor Revolt, e um ano após, fecham contrato com a Fat Wreck Chords para lançar os seus dois primeiros álbuns, The Unraveling (2001) e Revolutions Per Minute (2003). Em agosto de 2004, lançam Siren Song of The Counter Culture, o seu disco de estréia com uma grande editora, a Geffen Records. Em 2005 é lançada uma remasterização de The Unraveling pela Fat Wreck Chords. Em 2006, os Rise Against lançam o seu segundo álbum pela Geffen Records, The Sufferer & The Witness, aclamado por muitos como o melhor trabalho da banda. Em dezembro de 2006, lançam o seu primeiro DVD, chamado Generation Lost, que contém um documentário sobre a banda, cinco videoclipes, ‘making of’ de dois videoclipes e apresentações ao vivo.
